About the role
You'll own the services that store, process, and serve sensitive hospital data: encryption, tenancy isolation, APIs for HIS workflows, and operational excellence.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement backend services for document processing and access control
- Harden multi-tenant isolation, secrets, and audit logging
- Integrate with hospital systems via APIs, files, and secure transfer patterns
- Improve reliability: queues, retries, observability, and SLOs
- Support on-prem/hybrid deployment options for enterprise customers
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years building production backend systems
- Strong skills in one of Node/TypeScript, Python, or Go
- Experience with databases, queues, and cloud infrastructure
- Security-minded defaults (authn/z, encryption, least privilege)
- Clear communication with product and customer-facing teams
Nice to have
- ISO 27001 / SOC 2 operational experience
- HIS/HL7/FHIR exposure
- Kubernetes or hybrid infrastructure
